This markadz is an orphanage housing 48 girls and located in the flood prone area of Cotabato City. The premises will be flooded at least once a year. This makes the construction of toilets tricky. In the beginning, ACT Malaysia raised the existing toilets about 1 1/2 feet from the ground and raised the roof, too. Unfortunately, halfway through its completion, the structure collapsed due to the soft ground.

There was no choice but to build new toilets from scratch on a different spot. The toilets were finally completed this August fitted with an electric water pump to fill the water tanks.
